Weddings at Maydencroft Manor are designed to feel natural, personal, and unforced for couples, while being quietly and carefully managed behind the scenes.
Rather than a dry hire venue where every element is self-managed, we provide a supported environment with an on-site team, trusted suppliers, and coordinated logistics that ensure your day flows smoothly from start to finish.
You have freedom in how your wedding looks and feels, with the reassurance that the structure beneath it is taken care of.
A limited number of weddings each year
We host a small number of weddings each season, typically up to 10.
This is intentional.
It allows us to:
- give each wedding full attention and care
- maintain consistently high standards across every event
- protect the landscape, buildings, and long-term use of the site
- avoid compressed, production-line scheduling
- ensure our team is fully present for every celebration
Each wedding is part of a carefully managed calendar, not a continuous turnover of events.
Your venue hire
Every booking includes exclusive use of your chosen space for three days:
- setup day
- wedding day
- pack-down day
This allows time for suppliers to work properly, for the space to be prepared without pressure, and for your celebration to unfold at a relaxed pace.
Your venue hire includes:
- exclusive access to your chosen buildings and grounds
- guest parking and access routes
- essential site infrastructure and utilities
- designated preparation and service areas
What venue hire does not include:
- catering or food service
- drinks or bar service
- styling, floristry, photography, entertainment
- furniture, marquees, or temporary structures
These are delivered by your chosen suppliers, coordinated within our framework.
On-the-day venue support
All weddings include a dedicated on-site venue team throughout your event.
Their role is to:
- oversee venue operations discreetly in the background
- coordinate supplier arrivals and logistics
- support catering and drinks service flow
- manage site movement and practical details
- ensure the venue runs smoothly and safely throughout
This presence is one of the key differences between Maydencroft Manor and a dry hire venue.
You are supported throughout the day without feeling managed or directed.
Preferred suppliers and planning support
We work with a curated list of trusted suppliers who are familiar with the venue and how it operates.
This includes:
- caterers
- florists and stylists
- photographers and videographers
- musicians and entertainment
- celebrants and planners
- marquee and production partners
These suppliers understand the site, its logistics, and how to deliver seamlessly within the environment.
You are welcome to bring your own suppliers, subject to approval and onboarding. This ensures:
- safe and appropriate operation on site
- alignment with venue logistics
- consistent standards of delivery
- smooth coordination on the day
We do not limit creativity. We ensure compatibility with the space.
Drinks and bar service
All evening drinks are managed by our exclusive bar partner.
This provides:
- licensed professional service throughout the evening
- consistent guest experience
- safe and compliant alcohol management
- smooth integration with catering and evening flow
Couples may supply their own wine, champagne, and bottled beer for daytime use if desired.
We also provide:
- chilled storage for client-supplied drinks
- secure holding and organisation prior to service
- glass and waste handling support
This allows drinks service to feel seamless without requiring you to manage logistics on the day.
Venue service fee
A per-guest venue service fee applies to all weddings.
This supports the operational delivery of your wedding and includes:
- on-the-day venue coordination team
- supplier management and site logistics
- drinks storage and chilling facilities
- waste handling and recycling support
- coordination between catering and bar service
It enables us to operate as a supported countryside venue, rather than a self-managed space.
What your wedding day looks like
A typical wedding follows a simple, well-supported flow:
Arrival and setup (day before)
Suppliers arrive with full access and coordination support.
Wedding day
- on-site venue team present throughout
- catering and drinks delivered by approved suppliers
- guests move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces
- coordination happens quietly in the background
Pack-down (following day)
Suppliers return for breakdown with full site access and time.
There is no overlap with other events, and no rushed changeovers.
Ceremonies
Although Maydencroft Manor is not currently licensed for legal ceremonies, it offers a range of beautiful spaces for celebrant-led or symbolic ceremonies.
These can take place:
- in Bunyan’s Barn
- in the manor gardens or meadows
- at St Ippolyts Church nearby
- at St Ibbs Park overlooking the lake
We can also assist with logistical arrangements such as transport between locations, including vintage tractor arrivals where appropriate.
