delivery and returns

At Maydencroft Manor we know that our job is only complete once you have safely received your order. We use a national overnight courier to deliver your order, with your produce kept fresh and cool in our specialist packaging. We’ve tried to make our delivery process as clear as possible below, but if you still have a question, then please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.

Availability

As a reflection of our traditional farming methods, availability of our meat will fluctuate in line with the seasons. Sign up here to ensure you are the first to know when our Longhorn meat boxes are available.

Where we deliver

As we use a national courier, we deliver throughout Great Britain.

Delivery and order deadlines

Orders are required by 6pm on a Tuesday, we send out our boxes on Thursdays in order to deliver your parcel by 4pm on that Friday. Orders placed after this time will usually be delivered on an urgent basis (the perishable nature of the product requires this in order that you receive it in time), in this case we usually avoid additional charges but there may be a cost to achieve a delivery within a day or two of the order. We will contact you to advise this.

As a reflection of our traditional farming methods, our produce is seasonal which means availability fluctuates. The meat is hung and dry aged, then hand cut by our local butcher, so we require a few days to get everything specially prepared for you. If there are no boxes of meat currently available, the website will show the next delivery date.

We have a minimum order value of one box of meat.

Delivery charges

Our Friday 4pm national delivery is FREE for orders placed by Tuesday 6pm, deliveries after this may be subject to a charge, to achieve delivery within a few days of order.

To get your delivery earlier on a Friday, we offer an express delivery pre-12pm for which there is a flat charge.

When the deliveries arrive

All of our parcels are sent on a before 4pm courier, ensuring that your delivery arrives in good time. You will be sent an email to confirm dispatch.

We can leave your order safe if you are unable to receive it. At checkout please advise us of a safe location, preferably somewhere that keeps the parcel out of sun or rain, such as the shed, porch or entrance hall. We often have parcels delivered to work addresses, please just ensure your delivery address and billing address are written differently if required.

Our specialist packaging

Our meat is vacuum-sealed for ultimate freshness before being hand packaged into insulated boxes, specifically designed for deliveries of chilled foods. We use Woolcool insulated packaging which performs better than polystyrene packaging and we also include ice packs, ensuring that your produce remains cool whilst waiting for you to return home. Simply pop your meat into the fridge or freezer when you return home.

Delivery problems

If for some reason there is a problem with your delivery, or it has not arrived, we will work with the courier to rectify the issue, keeping you informed with updates throughout.

Cancellation and returns

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer refunds for returns or cancellations of unwanted items. If you are not satisfied with the condition of our product when it arrives, please contact us and we will do our utmost to reach a solution for you.

Environmentally friendly

We are dedicated to sustainable farming and this includes using sustainable packaging when possible.
